Sugardew Island is a consciously uncomplicated cozy farm shop simulator, made by a small indie dev team. We made Sugardew Island so that you can relax, unwind, and enjoy your favorite genre. Cultivate your animals and farm, barter your wares with the cute Forest Folk, upgrade your farm, and finish small jobs from the Harmony Tree to bring vitality to the small island. Basing our game on the beloved Nintendo© DS Harvest Moon games, Sugardew Island is our loving tribute to the series, with around 15 hours of delightful gameplay. Following an unplanned storm and wreck, your tale begins as you awaken on a deserted island. To continue, collect Harmony by selling goods to the forest sprites, repairing the island, and removing the thorns.

A feature that this game provides and few others do is the Shop. You grow crops and sell them in your shop to local nature beings for both cash and Harmony, which fulfills quests to revive the Harmony Tree. For reference, the only other game I’ve tried with a shop was Garden Paws, another enjoyable farming sim. The devs described this title as casual, and it genuinely embodies the tranquil, outdoor feel many crave. Your time isn’t wasted, you will not pass out or lose money, your crops and animals won’t die if you miss a watering or a feeding, and you don’t have to update anything.
