By tuning into Rosaline’s narrative, act as her psychotherapist to soothe her childhood wounds and vanquish the inner demons locking her mind in a cage. Arm yourself with the AK, revolver, shotgun, and other tools, or depend on puzzle-solving and quest-finishing abilities to prevail. The game has a heavy psychological atmosphere, especially the way some rooms and areas are constructed—I thoroughly enjoyed the moment when the walls moved and showed the AKM. Some areas, though, felt a tad too empty, and sometimes it felt like a walking simulator where enemies just materialize in front of you 80% of the time.

I enjoyed the close, precise turns you get at the beginning of the playthrough. I just hoped the creepy atmosphere extended throughout the entire game. There was a shortage of haunting, dark noises—such as screams, whimpers, or mutters. That being said, I appreciated the thinking that went into designing portions of the map. The graphics and atmosphere were good, although I would have liked to have had an option to modify the FOV slightly. The game was rewarding overall! The movement was smooth, the guns looked slim and handled well, and the animations were fine, even though some were slightly linear.
